Bolton Landing

A quaint hamlet in the Adirondack Mountains, featuring a picturesque downtown, various shops, and restaurants.

Welcome to Bolton

The community of Bolton (Bolton Landing) is located in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, and is one of the 6 towns located on the shores of Lake George. Located approximately 15 minutes north of Lake George village on Route 9N, Bolton is a quaint hamlet in the foothills of the Adirondacks with about 2,000 year-round residents. The Schroon River is on the western border of the town and flows from neighboring Schroon Lake south.

With a picturesque, artsy downtown vibe, Bolton is a favorite among visitors to Lake George for its quaint Main Street with shops, galleries, restaurants, gardens, and town parks. It’s also a popular alternative for those seeking a quieter, more residential feel than bustling Lake George village. Also home to Trout Lake (a private lake nestled in the foothills) and the historic Sagamore Hotel, Bolton maintains a wide variety of options for outdoor and recreational activities – from boating, hiking, swimming and extreme obstacle courses to award-winning golf courses with breathtaking lake views.

For anyone interested in Bolton area real estate, we can provide information on various options, including homes for sale, new construction, condos, townhouses, vacant land parcels, and associations offering shared lake access.
